Traditional Storytelling in the Borderlands

Welcome to the site of Spindrift Stories. I’m a traditional oral storyteller based in North Northumberland, on the Anglo-Scots border. I host storytelling sessions for children and adults, perform at events, and run workshops based around the folk tales and legends of the Border.

Find out more about me and what I do from the tabs above.

In 2023:

From April 2023, I will once again be hosting open-air storytelling sessions in my storytelling circle in Northumberland. An hour of Border myths and legends told in my informal performance style; dragons and fairies; witches and rogues; kings, queens, and tricksters; all told in an idyllic rural setting.

These are open to everyone, young and old. Although not specifically aimed at children, they are family friendly. Booking required. Please see Tales at Old Heatherslaw for details.

I also continue to offer my usual range of performances and workshops, which you can find out more about on the pages above.

More news about additional projects this year will be coming soon, so please do check back in this space!
